About Headwinds
Headwinds is a post-grunge modern rock album built around atmosphere, weight, and momentum.
There’s a cinematic side to this record that became more important as the songs came together. Heavy bass, gritty vocals, big guitars, and darker environments run throughout the album, but every song approaches that sound from a different direction.
The idea behind the title became a good description of the record itself.
Sometimes you’re moving forward with everything pushing against you. Sometimes you can see what’s coming and there’s nothing you can do to stop it. And sometimes the only choice is to keep moving directly into it.
That feeling runs through Headwinds.

A second music video will be released with “Calling Me Home” - The full album expands into heavier songs, quieter moments, and some of the most cinematic music Almost Alive has released so far. Tracks including “Into the Wind,” “What Stays Behind,” “One More Thing,” “In Between (Take Me Home),” “Follow the Noise,” and the title track “Headwinds” complete the record.
It was important for this album to feel like more than a collection of singles. The songs belong in the same world, and the full record tells that story better than any one track can.
